St. Charles College Health and Hygiene Outreach Programme & Rally at Adhaiyur Village – 2025
The *Department of Commerce* of St. Charles College of Arts and Science, Eraiyur, organized an Outreach Programme and Rally on Health and Hygiene on 25th August 2025 at Adhaiyur Village, Kallakurichi District. The event began with an inaugural session in the village community center, where the Head of the Department addressed the gathering. The Panchayat President and local health workers extended their support, and student Ms. Sagayarani delivered a speech on the importance of health and hygiene.
Faculty members and student volunteers conducted an interactive awareness session on topics such as hand washing, waste disposal, clean drinking water, preventive health care, and balanced diet. This was followed by a rally through the village streets, where students carried placards and raised slogans promoting cleanliness and healthy habits, drawing active participation from the villagers.
The programme received an excellent response, with over 100 villagers benefiting from the session. The Department sincerely thanks the College Management, local authorities, and student volunteers for their support, and extends special gratitude to Mr. Ramachandiran, Advocate, Adhaiyur, for sponsoring refreshments for the students.
