The Department of English organized an Outreach Programme on the theme “Save Trees, Save Rain” with the objective of encouraging individuals to take action in protecting the environment.

 

The event began with the honoring of the Head of the Village, Mr. Sirajdeen, who was felicitated by Mr. Dominic Zavio. Mr. Arockiyasami, Headmaster of the Middle School, Pillaiyar Palayam, was also honored by a student of III B.A. English.

 

Addressing the gathering, the Headmaster emphasized the importance of conserving trees and their positive impact on rainfall. His inspiring words motivated everyone present to take meaningful steps towards environmental protection.

 

Following this, participants actively engaged in tree-planting activities, symbolizing their shared responsibility in safeguarding nature. The programme concluded with a collective reflection on the crucial role of trees in maintaining ecological balance and promoting rainfall.
