Invited Talk on “Recent Advancements in Nanomaterials”

 

The Department of Physics successfully organized an invited talk on “Recent Advancements in Nanomaterials” on 7th January 2025 at 9:30 AM in the Ground Floor Computer Lab. The session was delivered by Dr. H. Joy Prabu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, who provided valuable insights into the latest developments and applications of nanomaterials in various technological fields.

 

The event began with a Welcome Address by Ms. Akshatha, a final-year Physics student. The session was formally inaugurated by Dr. Anandan, the Convener of Examinations, who honored the guest speaker with a traditional shawl.

 

Dr. Joy Prabu’s presentation covered emerging trends and breakthroughs in nanomaterial research, engaging students and faculty in thought-provoking discussions. The Felicitation Address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. S. William Suresh Kumar, who highlighted the significance of nanomaterials in shaping future technologies.

 

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mohamed Basarath, a second-year Physics student, acknowledging the efforts of the guest speaker, dignitaries, and organizers. Special appreciation was extended to the Principal, Secretary, Vice Principal, and Head of the Chemistry Department, Mr. G. Vasanth Tesi Taris, for their support.

 

The talk was well received by all participants, providing a valuable learning experience and fostering interest in advanced research in nanomaterials.
