The Department of Physics organized an Awareness Rally on Marriage Without Money with the objective of promoting simple marriages and discouraging dowry.

 

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Magimai Antoni Raj, HoD of Physics, followed by the Chief Guest, Mr. Senthil, President of Ellaigiramam Panchayat, who inspired the gathering to adopt meaningful marriages without financial burdens. Dr. Anandan, CoE, delivered the keynote address, stressing the harmful effects of dowry and the role of youth in building a dowry-free society.

 

Students, staff, and villagers participated enthusiastically, concluding the rally with a pledge to support dowry-free marriages and strengthen the movement for social equality.
