The English Department embarked on an enriching Industrial Visit today, starting at 7:30 AM. Our first stop was the Dhina Thandhi Printing Press, which we reached at 10:00 AM. We gained a comprehensive understanding of newspaper production and distribution, guided by the press staff who explained the roles of editors, sub-editors, and other key personnel.

 

A highlight of the visit was witnessing three advanced printing machines imported from Germany, Italy, and France, showcasing the press’s commitment to quality and innovation.

 

After this insightful session, we explored the Pichavaram Mangrove Forests, a breathtaking and adventurous experience.

 

This visit provided an invaluable learning opportunity, bridging theory with real-world applications and offering a deeper appreciation for news production and natural wonders.
