On September 21, 2024, St. Charles College of Arts and Science, Eraiyur, celebrated its 6th Annual Sports Meet with great enthusiasm on the college campus.

The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Anthoniyammal, a member of the Indian Women’s Beach Kabaddi Team and a gold medalist at the 2016 Asian Beach Games. The Guest of Honor was Mrs. Anushiya Arockiyaraj, President of the Panchayat Union, Eraiyur.

The festivities began with the hoisting of the National Flag, Olympic Flag, and the College Flag. College athletes carried the Olympic Torch from Eraiyur Church to the campus, where it was finally lit by our third-year sports achievers. The Chief Guest took the salute during an impressive march past featuring four houses: St. Charles, St. Joseph, Adrien Brezzy, and St. Teresa. The students embraced the spirit of the occasion by taking a collective oath.

A variety of athletic and field events were conducted throughout the day. Highlights included a spectacular silambam performance and an eye-catching mass drill by the students. The sports report was presented by Mr. Elayaraja, Physical Director.

At the conclusion of the event, winners were announced, and certificates and medals were distributed. The overall championship was won by Adrien Brezzy House, with St. Teresa House securing the runner-up position. The Individual Championship for Men was awarded to C. Edward of III-BBA (St. Joseph House), while G. Aarthi of III-BBA (Adrien Brezzy House) claimed the Individual Championship for Women.
