An industrial visit was organized on 11th April 2026 for the students of Computer Science and BCA to enhance their practical knowledge and expose them to real-time industrial operations in the field of telecommunications .
The students visited Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Tanjore.
During the visit, an experienced BSNL staff member, who has been serving since 2002, delivered an informative session on the functioning of telecommunication systems.
The session covered:
Data services and telephone communication systems
Switching techniques such as:
Circuit Switching
Packet Switching
Label Switching
