Department Overview

Established in 2020 and fully approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Department of Business Administration at St. Charles College of Arts and Science serves as a premier hub for management education. The department is specifically committed to empowering first-generation learners from rural backgrounds by seamlessly bridging the gap between academic theory and corporate practice.

Under the rigorous standards of AICTE, the department offers a curriculum enriched with skill-oriented workshops in Entrepreneurship Development, Soft Skills, and Digital Marketing. We ensure our graduates are "future-ready" by integrating high-demand technical certifications in Tally Prime and Advanced Excel, providing the digital fluency essential for the modern global economy. Beyond academic excellence, the department fosters social impact through community outreach programs focused on financial literacy and rural entrepreneurship.

Flagship Initiative: The Student-Led Stationery Shop

A hallmark of our BBA program is the On-Campus Entrepreneurial Venture. This live business is owned and operated entirely by students, serving as a practical incubator that transforms learners into business owners.

Through this initiative, students master:

  • Operational Management: Handling the complete business cycle, including vendor negotiations, procurement, and inventory logistics.

  • Financial Accountability: Direct management of daily accounts, cash flow, and P&L statements.

  • Marketing & Client Relations: Designing promotional strategies and delivering service excellence to the college community.

This "Learning-by-Doing" model reinforces our commitment to graduating "Job Creators" rather than just job seekers.

Management & Digital Resources

The department provides a professional corporate atmosphere supported by a state-of-the-art Management Lab. Equipped with 40 high-end computer systems and high-speed internet, the lab serves as a center for:

  • Financial Accounting: Practical application of Tally Prime for bookkeeping and GST compliance.

  • Data Analytics: Training in Advanced MS Excel and SPSS for market research and data-driven decision-making.

  • Business Communication: Mastering digital tools for professional presentations, corporate branding, and virtual collaboration.
